The Arrábida Bridge, designed by Edgar Cardoso, was for some time the world record for arched concrete bridges. Inaugurated in 1963, it reaches 70m above the average water level. The four great pillars that complete the central zone of the bridge present bronze sculptures, integrated in the innovative spirit and the modernist aesthetics of the Bridge.
